INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel will have their hands full this weekend when they visit the Toledo Walleye and then host the Fort Wayne Komets and Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Fuel will first travel to play the Walleye Friday and they are first in the division with a playoff spot already clinched. The Walleye will expect getting two points against the Fuel on home ice.
Then the Fuel will host the Komets and the Cyclones in a good division rivalry. The Fuel need to be ready to go and ready to win this weekend. The month of March has been good to the Fuel
Under the direction of Head Coach Bernie John, the men of the Fuel have fortified their stranglehold on 6th place in the Western Conference Central Division standings.
I think there is too much talent on this team to be in 6th, but it will eventually work itself out. The Fuel are a playoff team in the future, but they need the defense better and to stop the turnovers.
With two weeks and 6-total games remaining on the duration of their 72-games regular season schedule, the Fuel-men have posted an overall season mark of 66(20-40-6) totaling 46-points.
Presently the Fuel are firing on all cylinders, they have been ending the weekend on a positive note which will be a good confidence booster this weekend going against good teams.
Indy’s 5-wins this month are one shy of matching their most wins for a single month this season. Here is to hoping they can get the wins this weekend to beat that record.
The Fuel need to play like they are in the playoffs and play hard, these teams are gunning for points. Turnovers and the defense need to be tight, no mistakes can be made against teams that do not make mistakes.
