Jones posted his fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. He added five assists. Jones led a defensive effort where Purdue’s perimeter players shot a combined 8-of-31 (25.8%) to register the Boilermakers’ first loss of the season.

This is Jones’ first BIG EAST “Player of the Week” Award. He was a three-time recipient of the Atlantic 10 “Player of the Week” Award during the 2012-13 season, Butler’s only season as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Jones is ranked in the Top 15 in most BIG EAST statistical categories, including scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and assist/turnover ratio.

Jones and the Bulldogs return to action Tuesday (Dec. 22), hosting Southern Utah at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
