Indianapolis: The Indy Fuel will be traveling to the state of South Carolina where they will be guested by both Greenville Swamp Rabbits and the South Carolina Stingrays.
The Greenville Swamp Rabbits are currently in second place looking for points this weekend to catch the first place team in their division. The Fuel are playing good as of late winning two games this past weekend against very skilled teams.
The Fuel will need to rely on more goals from Kenny Ryan, Matt Rupert, and Michael Neal who have been very productive for the Fuel. Ryan and Neal scored hat tricks this past weekend against good defenses. The Fuel’s 6-goal opening period outburst Sunday was not only their best of the season but also an all-time club record.
If the Fuel want to win this weekend they will definitely have to play like they did last weekend, if not better. Ending the weekend with two wins would be great, but getting a weekend sweep would be better.
The Fuel fans travel well so the presence will be known and the team needs to react to it. The Stingrays are in about the same boat as the Fuel but are looking to get the two points to tie for fourth with the Orlando Solar Bears.
I do think it is possible for a clean sweep this weekend if the Fuel do what they are suppose to and come out ready to win. One can only hope that the Fuel feel the same way the fans do about this weekend.
