INDIANAPOLIS, Ind: The “Boys in Blue” are back to it again this weekend as the Indy Eleven are set to take on Jacksonville Armada FC for their 5th regular season match of the year.
All of the matches prior to this, have ended in a draw for the Eleven this season. So they will be hungry to earn that first win on the season.
Indy is on the road this week as they are headed down to Jacksonville to play in Hodges Stadium.
The last time the Eleven and Jacksonville faced off was back in October 2016 when the “Boys in Blue” were again, on the road in Hodges stadium with an end result of 0-0. Of all matches played between the two clubs, the Eleven hold a record of 2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 losses to Jacksonville. Indy will be looking to take this match into their hands and find a win this season against the rival FC.
Head coach Tim Hankinson said when asked about the upcoming matchup, “There’s no doubt that when you travel on the road you’ve really got to fight hard for a clean sheet. You can’t put yourself in a goal down position. They’re playing particularly well, so their confidence is high. You know, Giving up nothing and then we just have to look for our moments…You look for that first goal that’s going to put you in the driver’s seat.”
Indy’s match against Jacksonville is set to kickoff at 7 p.m. ET this Saturday April 29. All fans can catch the game on their tv at home by turning to MyINDY TV-23, while also checking live updates for the game via the clubs Twitter, @IndyElevenLive.
