Indians/Bats Game Postponed Due to Rain

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sunday’s matchup between the Indianapolis Indians and Louisville Bats was called off due to rain. No makeup date was announced.

After dropping two of three games at Victory Field to start the series, the Indians lost to the Bats in 11 innings at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday before Sunday’s postponement.

The Tribe will now head to Columbus where they will begin a three-game series with the Columbus Clippers. Nick Kingham (0-1, 3.60 ERA), who was set to start on Sunday, will have his start pushed back a day and take the mound for the Tribe on Monday night.

First pitch from Huntington Park in Columbus is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

The Indians and Clippers opened the season in Indianapolis, where the two teams split a four-game series. Kingham took the loss in the first game of that series, despite giving up just one run on four hits in six innings.
