INDIANAPOLIS – Since losing the first two games of the home stand to the Louisville Bats, the Indianapolis Indians have shown up and taken the first three of four games against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

This time, they did so with some late in the game scoring. The Tribe’s four runs were split across three innings, starting with the sixth.

Tribe starter Casey Sadler earned his team-tying ninth quality start. He gave up two runs fairly early in the game (a single run in both the first and fourth innings), while holding IronPigs’ batters to eight hits while he struck out five and walked one.

In the sixth inning, the Tribe scored two runs on a double by Dean AnnaBrent Morel batted in the Tribe’s run in the seventh and Blake Davis had a pinch hit, RBI single to put the Tribe ahead 4-2 before Andy Oliver entered the game.

Both John Holdzkom and Wirfin Obispo, who pitched between Sadler and Oliver, pitched a single inning without any hits or runs and they both also struck out one batter. Oliver earned his 10th save in 10 opportunities.

The Tribe will face-off in their final game against the IronPigs on Thursday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. Jay Jackson is the Indians’ probable pitcher.
