George Named to All-NBA Third Team


Pacers forward Paul George was announced as an All-NBA third team selection today by the NBA. The selection comes on the heels of winning the NBA’s Most Improved Player award and named to the NBA All-Defensive Team’s second team.

This is the Pacers’ first All-NBA selection since Jermaine O’Neal’s selection in 2004 to the second team. George is the first Pacers player to be win all three awards in the same year and only the second player in team history (alongside Ron Artest) to be named to an All-NBA team and the All-Defensive team.

In just his third year, George has blossomed in to a star for the Pacers franchise, leading them to the Eastern Conference Finals this year against the Miami Heat.

He received 73 points in the All-NBA voting while LeBron James led the league with 595 points.
