Friday’s Indians/IronPigs Game Suspended in Second Inning

ALLENTOWN, PA – Rain has followed the Indianapolis Indians (66-57) to another region of Pennsylvania.

Friday’s matchup between the Tribe and Lehigh Valley IronPigs (74-59) was halted by bad weather with two outs in the top of the second inning. Friday’s game will resume at 5:35 p.m. on Saturday, with Saturday’s scheduled game taking place once today’s suspended game is completed. Game two will be a seven-inning contest.

Indianapolis will own a 1-0 lead when play resumes on Saturday, thanks to a Max Moroff leadoff homer in the top of the first.

For the time being, the Indians are no longer in first place in the IL West.

The Columbus Clippers (67-57) were triumphant once again, putting them a half-game ahead of Indy since the Indians ended up being idle on Friday night.
