INDIANAPOLIS – Yesterday, the Indianapolis Colts waived 11 players to get closer to the mandatory 75-man roster that is due at 4:00pm today. This morning, they made more moves to put them at 75 players.

The Colts placed running backs Vick Ballard and Deji Karim and offensive lineman Ulrick John on Injured Reserve and fullback Stanley Havili on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform.

Ballard is due to miss his second straight season after suffering a torn Achilles during the first week of training camp. He tore an ACL during practice last season and missed all but one game.

Karim spent time with the Colts in 2012, primarily as a kick returner, but he had not yet played with the Colts after being signed last week.

John was the team’s seventh-round pick this season, but broke his ankle in the first preseason game against the New York Jets.

Havili is heading into his second season with the Colts, but has not yet practiced this offseason due to a shoulder injury suffered late last season.
