Butler will then play three consecutive conference road games (Jan. 9-16 at Seton Hall, Xavier and DePaul) for just the second time as a member of the BIG EAST. Butler also had three consecutive conference road games during the Bulldogs’ first season as a BIG EAST member (2013-14).

FOX and FS1 again will serve as the television home of the BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden on March 13-16, 2019. The World’s Most Famous Arena will host the tourney for the 37th consecutive year. The event is college basketball’s longest running postseason conference tourney held at the same venue. The FOX broadcast network will carry the championship game at 6:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 16. All other rounds will be telecast on FS1.
Last season, six of the 10 BIG EAST schools – Butler, Creighton, Providence, Seton Hall, Villanova and Xavier – earned NCAA Championship bids and Marquette played in the NIT. Over the first five years of the 10-team BIG EAST, the league has earned 28 NCAA Tournament invitations.
BIG EAST basketball during the 2018-19 season will also be seen on the BIG EAST Digital Network. BEDN has its own branded channel within the FOX Sports App. The FOX Sports App provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on-the-go. FOX Sports App users who are also subscribers of participating video providers can live stream men’s basketball telecasts carried on the FOX broadcast network, FS1, FS2, and the FOX Sports Regional Networks.
CBS Sports‘ coverage will be available to stream live via the CBS All Access subscription service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app.
The Bulldogs recently earned their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Butler is one of only eight programs nationally to win at least one NCAA Tournament game in each of the last four seasons. The Bulldogs concluded the 2017-18 season with a 21-14 record under first-year Butler coach LaVall Jordan. Butler returns a talented group, headlined by junior G Kamar Baldwin and his 15.7 points per game average as a sophomore. Butler will also return redshirt junior F Sean McDermott and sophomore G Aaron Thompson, along with senior C Nate Fowler and redshirt senior G Paul Jorgensen.
