INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Butler Bulldogs have added 22 recruits for the upcoming 2016 Butler Football season. The upcoming class represents five different states and consists of 11 offensive players, 10 defensive players, and one specialist. There are seven players from Illinois, four from Indiana, eight from Ohio, two from North Carolina and one from Georgia.
“The Bulldogs are excited to welcome another great class of student-athletes to our football program,” said Butler Head Football Coach Jeff Voris. “This class of 22 players all fit the specific needs of our program across all positions. We feel they can not only help us on the field, but they will all fit great in our locker room, on campus, and in our community.”
Recruiting Coordinator Joe Cheshire believes the newcomers will be a great representation of what Butler stands for.
“These 22 outstanding student-athletes will continue the great tradition of Butler University Football,” said Cheshire. “We look forward to having these well-rounded young men represent the football program, Butler University and The Butler Way.”

Butler will open the 2016 season at Indiana State on Sept. 3.
