MUNCIE, Ind: The Ball State Cardinals (18-10, 9-6 MAC) are rolling along sealing their third win in a row beating Eastern Michigan (13-15, 5-10 MAC) last night at home in front of an electric crowd at Worthern Arena, with a final score of 72-79.
This was a hard fought and earned victory for the Cardinals as they had a rough start in the beginning of the game, getting down by 19 points with 8:27 left in the first half, the score was 32-12. That’s when Ball State kicked it into high gear and went on a 19-4 run to help get the score back to within only four points at halftime.
By 18:59 to play in the second half, Ball State had already tied up the game with the Eagles 35-35, and from there, the Cardinals ran with it and never looked back. Eastern Michigan did not take the lead for the rest of the game, leaving the final score 72-79.
Ball State’s Senior forward Franko House had another outstanding performance for the third game in a row, knocking down 16 points added with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Eight of those points came during a crucial 11-0 run for BSU that ultimately resulted in their comeback victory. Star Sophomore guard Tayler Persons also had another great night of shooting getting 16 points as well along with 4 rebounds.
This Ball State team is on a roll right now and have tons of momentum heading into their next game against the Western Michigan Broncos in Kalamazoo, MI at University Arena in Read Fieldhouse on Saturday February 25th at 2:00 PM and can be seen on ESPN3.
