MUNCIE, Ind: Saturday’s game was another victory for the Ball State Cardinals (17-10, 8-6 MAC), coming out on top over Central Michigan (16-11, 6-8 MAC) in overtime with a final score of 109-100.

In overtime, Ball State found rhythm again and knocked down 19 points while Central Michigan could only manage to get 10, they didn’t stand a chance. The Cardinals star Sophomore guard Tayler Persons led the solid performance by getting a career high 32 points, shooting 12 for 22 from the field. Fellow teammate, Sophomore forward Trey Moses also had another great night for the 3rd game in a row getting 14 points and 12 rebounds, landing another double-double making it his 6th on the season. Five other players of the Cardinals also had double-digit scoring nights.
Ball State is back on track with back to back wins and sitting atop the Mid-American Conference, with momentum heading into their next game up against the Eastern Michigan Eagles (13-14). This time though, the Eagles are coming down to Muncie to face Ball State in their own house, Worthen Arena. With these two teams being rivals and Ball States desire to hold the top spot in the MAC, you can expect an intense and exciting game.
