Oladipo Named NBA’s Most Improved Player

LOS ANGELES, CA – Everyone’s assumptions were confirmed on Monday night.

Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player, becoming the fifth Pacer to win the award. He joins Jalen Rose (2000), Jermaine O’Neal (2002), Danny Granger (2009) and Paul George (2013) as the team’s winners of the hardware.

2017-18 was a career season for Oladipo.

Traded to Indiana alongside Domantas Sabonis in the deal that sent George to Oklahoma City, Oladipo quickly became the Blue and Gold’s leading man. He put up monster numbers in his first year with the Pacers – 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.4 steals – and helped the team ascend to a surprising 48-win campaign.

Oladipo edged out Houston’s Clint Capela and Brooklyn’s Spencer Didwiddie to win the award.
